Our Story

My name is Tracy, I started in a small town in Washington state as a salon owner. Owning a brick and mortar storefront had a lot of advantages for selling and teaching my craft,
The longer I stayed open as a hair salon the more I created and found a love for a new craft that I never expected. However as the days rolled on I ended up closing my doors,
I am now hoping the internet is a new home for me to showcase and sell my work.
My style is eclectic and romantic I work in different mediums from just beading to sterling silver soldering,
One of my favorite ways to find inspiration is to go out to the San-Juan Islands or any other waterway close by, I walk the beaches to look for rocks, driftwood and glass, I can also be sitting on a stool or bench just working in my garden as it frees my mind and allows for ideas to flow in, on a good day that is.
I see lots of artists out there and all of there beautiful work this also inspires my moods and ideas for what is next. I work on a in the mood basis and let my hands do the work. I am also a sculptor so I might create a necklace one day and doll the next, again depending on mood.
I am married to a wonderful, understanding, loving and patient man, he looks at me and shakes his head on a regular basis, but he accepts me.
I have a dog that was rescued from Texas , I live in an old farmhouse that I absolutely love and enjoy. Gardening is my next love so I have lots of work to do on a day to day.
When I work on a project whatever it may be you can be assured a lot of thought went into it. I have been published in Belle Armoire Jewelry and jewelry Affaire many times so you may have seen some of my work there. You can follow my blog on gypsywillowsandme.blogspot.com
